Short answer
The best months are March to May and October to November, with highs of about 20–29°C (21°C in March, 25°C in April, 29°C in May, 28°C in October). Spring also brings Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril, with crowds and doubled hotel prices, while July and August are among the hottest in Europe (37–38°C).

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs of about 21°C in March, 25°C in April and 29°C in May, with 5–9 rainy days and orange blossom in the air. The most popular and expensive season, peaking during Semana Santa and the Feria.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
June reaches about 33°C, July 38°C and August 37°C, with almost no rain. Many visitors find midday unbearable; hotels are at their cheapest, and life moves to the late evening.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September is still hot at about 31°C, October is excellent at about 28°C with 7 rainy days, and November cools to about 20°C. A very good time to visit, with fewer crowds than spring.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild for Europe: highs of about 16–19°C and lows of 6–9°C, with 4–8 rainy days a month. Quiet, cheap and pleasant for sightseeing, with oranges on the trees.
