Best time to visit Peloponnese: month by month
Short answer
May, June and September to mid-October are the best times, with highs of about 25–30°C and warm sea from June. July and August are very hot (about 34–35°C, more inland at Mycenae and Mystras) and busiest. Winter is mild but wet, and some guesthouses close and sites close earlier.

Highs rise from about 16°C in March to 25°C in May, with 6–12 rainy days; wildflowers and quiet sites.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Hot and dry, with highs of 30–35°C and only 1–8 rainy days; the Epidaurus Festival in July and August, busy beaches.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Highs fall from about 29°C in September to 20°C in November; warm sea in September and October, rain increases in November.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild but rainy, with highs of 15–16°C and lows of 6–8°C; ancient sites often close around 15:30–17:00.

When to avoid
Late July and August are the hottest and most crowded, and walking around Mycenae or Mystras at midday is hard. In winter, some places in the Mani and Monemvasia close.
