Short answer
June and September are ideal, with highs of 27°C, sea temperatures around 22–25°C and fewer visitors than August. July and August are hot (30°C) and windy with the meltemi, which can cancel boat trips. Much of the island closes from November to April.

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs of 15–23°C and lows of 11–17°C, with 3–8 rainy days; quiet, green and good for walking, but the sea is cool until late May.
Summer (Jun–Aug)

When to avoid
