Where to sleep for less
Budget travellers stay in Adamas, near the port and buses, with rooms from about €60–110 a double in summer and less in shoulder months. Camping near Achivadolimni is another option.
Getting around cheaply
KTEL buses connect Adamas with Plaka, Pollonia and some beaches for a few euros. Rent a car or quad for one or two days for the west and south. Ferries from Piraeus take about 3–7 hours; slower boats are cheaper.
