Short answer

December to April is the dry season, about 28-29°C with trade winds and only around 9-13 rainy days a month, which makes it the best and most expensive time. May is the driest month of all (about 6 rainy days) and much cheaper. June to November is wetter, with about 16-22 rainy days and the hurricane season, but showers are often short.
