Samos on a budget: how to do it well

KTEL buses link Vathy with Pythagorio, Kokkari and Karlovasi. Rent a car for a day or two (about €30–50) for the west and mountains. Ferries to Piraeus take roughly 8–11 hours; flights from Athens about 50 minutes.
