Short answer
May, June and September to early October are best, with highs of 22–27°C and warm sea. July and August are hot at 30–31°C and very busy, especially in Laganas. Turtle nesting runs from about June to August, with hatchlings in August and September; most resorts close from November to April.

When to avoid
July and August are crowded and hot, and Laganas is loud. From November to April most resorts and boat trips stop.
