Short answer
June and September are the best months: highs of about 26°C, a warm sea (22-24°C), long days and slightly lower prices. July and August are the busiest and most expensive (29°C, almost no rain) with the strongest meltemi winds, and from November to April most hotels, bars and beach clubs close.

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs of 15°C in March, 19°C in April and 22°C in May, with few rainy days; the season opens around May, and the sea is still cool.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Warm and dry, highs of 26-29°C and lows of 21-24°C; peak crowds and prices, and strong meltemi winds in July and August.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September (26°C) is ideal with the warmest sea; October (22°C) is quieter as places close; November (20°C) is off-season.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild but windy, highs of 14-17°C and lows of 10-13°C, with up to 12 rainy days; most of the tourist island is closed.
