The best months are May–June and September–October, with highs of about 21–26°C and fewer rainy days. July and August are hot (28–29°C), humid and rainy but are the beach season; winter is dry and cold, around 7–9°C by day.

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs rise from 14°C in March to 21°C in May. Cherry blossom in late March or early April; some days have fine dust.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Highs of 24–29°C and lows up to 24°C, with 11–17 rainy days a month and the monsoon in late June–July. Beaches are crowded.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September is still 26°C with typhoon risk; October (21°C) is dry and clear, the best month, and November cools to 16°C.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Dry and sunny but cold: highs of 7–9°C and lows around -3 to 0°C. Busan is milder than Seoul and quiet.

Avoid late June to August if you dislike heat, humidity and rain; typhoons can disrupt trips in August and September. October festival dates fill hotels, so book early.
