Short answer
Late May to June and September to mid-October are the best times: highs of about 26-30°C, sea temperatures of 22-25°C and fewer crowds than in summer. July and August are hot (around 33-35°C), crowded and at peak prices, while from November to April Bodrum is quiet and many businesses close.

Spring (Mar–May)
Warming from about 16°C in March to 20°C in April and 26°C in May, with only 4-5 rainy days in April and May; many hotels and boats reopen in May.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Hot and almost rainless, with highs of 30°C in June and 33-35°C in July and August; peak crowds, prices and nightlife.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September (30°C) and October (25°C) are dry with a warm sea; November cools to about 21°C with more rain (about 12 days).
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild but wet, with highs of 14-17°C and 7-14 rainy days a month; quiet, and many beach clubs, boats and hotels are closed.
Events worth planning around
- Bodrum Cup sailing regatta for traditional gulets, usually in October
- Summer concerts at the Ancient Theatre and the castle, mainly July and August
- Kurban Bayramı and Ramazan Bayramı holidays, when Turkish visitors fill the peninsula (dates move each year)
