Is Barcelona or Paris cheaper?
Barcelona, slightly. Our mid-range estimate is about €196 per person per day in Barcelona against about €215 in Paris. The difference comes mostly from hotels and evening meals. Both cities have tourist taxes and both are expensive in summer. Tapas and lunch menus help keep Barcelona costs down.
Which is better for nightlife?
Barcelona. Nights start late, often after midnight, and clubs run until dawn; beach clubs add more options in summer. Paris has excellent wine and cocktail bars, but its club scene is smaller. If nightlife is your main reason to travel, choose Barcelona.
When is the best time to visit?
Barcelona is pleasant from April to November, with July around 29°C and good beach weather from June to September. Paris is best from late spring to early autumn, peaking around 25°C in June. Winter in Paris is cold and grey, around 7°C, while Barcelona stays milder, around 13°C.
