Whistler on a budget: how to do it well
Short answer
It is possible in summer, much harder in winter. A realistic summer minimum is about C$190 a day per person sharing a room — around C$80 for a bed, C$60 for food, C$40 for sights and C$10 for transport — before taxes.

Where to sleep for less

Getting around cheaply
Walk the village and use the free village shuttle. Local buses cost about C$3. From Vancouver Airport, shared shuttles cost roughly C$80–120 one way. In summer, a rented bike on the Valley Trail is the cheapest way to reach the lakes.
