Budget travellers stay in rooms and small hotels in Kos Town, at about €50-90 a double, close to the bus station, bike rental and boats. Kardamena and Kefalos have cheap studios near the southern beaches.

Getting around cheaply

Bikes are the cheapest way around Kos Town. KTEL buses link the town with the airport, beaches and villages for a few euros a ride. A shared car or scooter for a day or two is the easiest way to see Zia, Therma and the south coast.
