Getting around cheaply
Island buses connect the airport, Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, Santa Eulària and many beaches for a few euros a ride; the airport bus runs to Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni. Small boats link Sant Antoni and Ibiza Town with nearby beaches in summer. A hire car or scooter, shared, is the easiest way to reach the north coves.

- Look for apartments with kitchens to save on meals.
- Go to the free day-time markets rather than the paid beach clubs.
- Travel to Formentera on early or late ferries, which can be cheaper.
- Share a hire car for the north coves and park before 10:00.
- Ask for agua del grifo only where it is offered; otherwise buy large bottles at supermarkets.
