Is Ibiza expensive? What things really cost in 2026
Short answer
Yes, Ibiza is one of the most expensive places in Spain and among the priciest islands in the Mediterranean in summer. A budget day is about €130 per person, mid-range about €285 and comfort about €760. Rooms in July and August, big-club tickets and beach-club spending take most of the money; quieter months are far cheaper.

Where the money goes
Accommodation dominates, especially from late June to early September, when even simple hotels in Sant Antoni cost €100-180 a double and anything near Ibiza Town much more, plus the Balearic sustainable tourism tax of about €1-4 per person per night. Nightlife is the second big cost: club entry, drinks often over €15 and late taxis. A hire car makes it easier to reach the coves but adds rental, fuel and parking. Food in local villages and markets is more reasonable.
When it is cheaper
May, early June, late September and October are much cheaper, with room prices often a third to a half lower than in August. From November to April many hotels and restaurants close, but those open are inexpensive.
How to spend less
- Visit in June or September for summer weather at lower prices.
- Use the island buses, which link Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, Santa Eulària and many beaches.
- Buy club tickets online in advance, which is cheaper than at the door.
- Eat the menú del día at lunchtime in inland villages like Sant Joan or Santa Gertrudis.
- Watch the sunset from Torre des Savinar or a rock instead of a beach club with a minimum spend.
- Shop at supermarkets for water and drinks; club and beach prices are very high.
