Common questions
How much is a taxi from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
A regular taxi to central Seoul usually costs about ₩60,000–100,000 including expressway tolls, depending on the district and time of day; deluxe black taxis cost more. The ride takes about an hour without heavy traffic. Use the official taxi rank outside Arrivals, and note that a late-night surcharge applies.
AREX or limousine bus: which is better?
AREX is faster and unaffected by traffic, ideal if you are staying near Seoul Station, Hongdae or a subway line. Limousine buses are slower but drop you closer to many hotels in Myeongdong, Gangnam and elsewhere without changes, which helps with heavy luggage. Ask at the bus desk in Arrivals which route serves your hotel.
Is there transport from Incheon Airport late at night?
AREX trains stop around 23:00–midnight. After that a small number of late-night limousine bus routes run to central areas, and taxis are available all night with a surcharge. If your flight lands very late, check the late-night bus timetable at the airport information desk before you leave the terminal.
Can I use a card or T-money from the airport?
Yes. T-money cards are sold and topped up at convenience stores in Arrivals and work on the AREX All-Stop train, subway, city buses and most taxis. The AREX Express and limousine buses sell tickets at counters and machines that accept foreign cards. Most taxis accept credit cards too.
