Best time to visit Uzbekistan: month by month
Short answer
April to May and September to October are the best, with highs of 24–31°C, clear skies and comfortable sightseeing. Summer (June–August) is very hot at 35–38°C, often above 40°C in Bukhara and Khiva. Winter is cold, near freezing, with lows down to -6°C, but sites are empty.

When to avoid
Avoid July and August if you dislike heat, as Bukhara and Khiva often exceed 40°C. Winter is cold and some guesthouses and restaurants close.
