Best time to visit Poland: month by month
Short answer
May to September is best, with highs of 18–25°C, long evenings and outdoor cafés; July and August are the busiest. September is excellent, with 20°C days and fewer crowds. Winter is cold, around 3–5°C by day and often below 0°C at night, but Kraków's Christmas market brightens December.

When to avoid
