Best time to visit Pakistan: month by month
Short answer
For the north, April to October is best: blossom in early April, green summers at about 25–30°C and gold poplars in late October. For Lahore and Islamabad, October to March is best, with highs of 18–28°C. Summer in the plains is extremely hot, and smog can be severe in Lahore from November to January.

Cherry and apricot blossom in Hunza in early April; in the plains highs rise from 24°C to 33°C.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
The best time for high mountain passes and trekking in the north; the plains reach 36°C or more, and the monsoon brings rain in July–August.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Gold poplars in Hunza in late October; comfortable in the plains from October, but smog begins in Lahore in November.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild in Islamabad and Lahore at 15–20°C by day, cold at night; the north is very cold and some roads close.

When to avoid
Avoid the plains in May to August, when temperatures exceed 40°C. Lahore's smog from November to January can be very bad, and the high passes close in winter.
