Best time to visit Montenegro: month by month
Short answer
May, June and September are the best months on the coast, with highs of 22-27°C and few rainy days in June. July and August are hot (around 30°C) and very crowded, especially in Budva and Kotor. Winter is mild on the coast (12-14°C) but the Bay of Kotor is one of Europe's rainiest places.

Highs rise from 13°C in March to 22°C in May, with 11-13 rainy days; green and quiet.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Hot and dry, with highs of 27-30°C and only 3-8 rainy days; peak crowds and prices.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September is excellent at 25°C; October is still pleasant at 22°C, and November turns wet (17 rainy days).
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Mild on the coast at 12-14°C but rainy; skiing in Durmitor and Kolašin.
