Best time to visit Capri: month by month
Short answer
May–June and September–early October are best, with warm sea, many sunny days and fewer crowds than mid-summer. July and August are the busiest and most expensive months; from November to March many hotels close and the island is very quiet, with more rain.

Summer (Jun–Aug)
The driest and warmest months, with average highs of about 24–27°C and only 1–5 rainy days a month; hot spells reach higher. Very crowded.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September (about 25°C) and October (about 21°C) are pleasant; November (about 19°C) is wet, with about 19 rainy days.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Cool and quiet at about 13–15°C, with 7–14 rainy days a month; ferries are fewer and many places close.

When to avoid
