Short answer
December to March is the best time for hiking, boat trips and the Circuito Chico, with highs of about 21–23°C and only 4–5 rainy days a month, but January is the busiest month. July to September is ski season at Cerro Catedral, with highs of about 5–6°C and the wettest weather of the year. April–May and October–November are quieter and cheaper, with changeable weather.
