Short answer
June and September are the best months: highs of about 24–25°C, warm sea, few rainy days, and boats and tavernas open without the August crowds. July and August are hotter (about 29°C) and busiest, especially around 15 August. May and October are good for walking, with highs of about 20°C, but services are reduced.
