How to get from Istanbul to Thassos
There is no direct transport from Istanbul to Thassos. The fastest way is usually a flight to Thessaloniki, then about 2 h by car to Keramoti and a 40-minute ferry to the island. Driving all the way takes about 6 to 7 h to the ferry, crossing the Turkish–Greek border.
Best option: Flight. A short flight to Thessaloniki saves several hours of driving and the land border queue.
