How to get from Bruges to London
The fastest way is a train from Bruges to Brussels-Midi (about 1 h) and then the Eurostar to London St Pancras (about 2 h), roughly 4 h door to door including check-in. Driving to the Channel crossing at Calais or Dunkirk is the main alternative.
Best option: Train. Belgian trains plus Eurostar get you from Bruges to central London fastest and without dealing with ferries or the UK's left-hand traffic.

Common questions
Is there a direct train from Bruges to London?
No. You take a Belgian domestic train from Bruges to Brussels-Midi, about an hour, then the Eurostar to London St Pancras, about two hours. Plan the connection with a good margin, because Eurostar check-in, passport control and security close before departure. Eurostar trains from Lille are another option if you combine your trip with northern France.
How long before the Eurostar should I arrive?
Eurostar advises arriving well before departure, and check-in closes some time before the train leaves, because UK border checks are done in Brussels. In busy periods queues can be long. Check the time printed on your ticket and allow at least 60–90 minutes at Brussels-Midi, plus a buffer for the train from Bruges.
What is the cheapest way from Bruges to London?
An early-booked Eurostar fare combined with a Belgian train is often the best value. Coaches from Brussels can be cheaper, but they take 7 hours or more and you still need to reach Brussels. If you are a group with a car, sharing a Le Shuttle or ferry crossing can work out reasonably per person.
Can I drive from Bruges to London?
Yes. Drive about an hour to Calais or Dunkirk, cross with Le Shuttle through the Channel Tunnel or by ferry to Dover/Folkestone, then continue to London. Allow 5 to 6 hours. Remember the UK drives on the left, and central London has a Congestion Charge and the ULEZ low-emission zone.
