Luxembourg on a budget: how to do it well
Short answer
Luxembourg is not a budget destination, but free public transport helps a lot: plan on about €100 per person per day (bed €55, food €35, sights €10, transport free). The bed is what makes it expensive.
A realistic daily budget

| Sights & tickets | €10 | €25 | €50 |
| Local transport | €0 | €0 | €25 |
| Per person, per day | €100 | €190 | €385 |

Getting around cheaply
Everything is free in second class: the tram from Findel airport to the city takes about 25–30 minutes, and trains and buses reach Vianden, Clervaux, Echternach and the Moselle. Plan routes on mobiliteit.lu.
