Getting around cheaply
Use the LRT, MRT and monorail with a Touch 'n Go card, and Grab for direct trips. From KLIA, airport buses to KL Sentral are much cheaper than the KLIA Ekspres train (about RM 55).

- Ride the free GO KL buses around the centre.
- Get a Touch 'n Go card for trains, buses and some shops.
- Avoid buying alcohol in bars; drink fresh juices and teh tarik instead.
- Take the airport bus instead of the KLIA Ekspres to save money.
- Look for 'economy rice' (nasi campur) stalls, where you pick dishes from a buffet.
- Walk the covered pedestrian walkway between Bukit Bintang and KLCC to avoid heat and taxis.
