Where to sleep for less
Budget travellers stay in Station 3, at the quieter southern end of White Beach, where guesthouses cost about ₱1,800–3,000 a night, or in Bulabog, a 10-minute walk from White Beach. Your hotel must be accredited by the Department of Tourism, so check before you pay.
Getting around cheaply
Walk along White Beach and use shared e-trikes and e-jeeps on the main road. Fly to Kalibo if Caticlan flights are much dearer, accepting the 1.5–2 hour van transfer. Book combined transfers that include the boat and port fees.

- Share an island-hopping boat or join a group tour.
- Drink from water refill stations rather than buying many small bottles.
- Skip cocktails on the beachfront; drinks in side-street places are cheaper.
