Valencia Airport (Manises) (VLC) to Valencia
Metrovalencia lines 3 and 5 run from the airport station straight into the city in about 20–25 minutes. A taxi takes a similar time and costs about €20–25.
Best for most people: Metro. The metro station is inside the terminal and reaches the centre (Xàtiva, Colón) quickly without traffic.

Tips
- Line 5 continues to Marítim for the beach area (change for the tram).
- Validate your metro ticket entering and exiting.
- During Las Fallas (mid-March) the centre is crowded and some roads close; the metro is the best bet.
- Card payments are widely accepted at ticket machines.
Common questions
How much is a taxi from Valencia airport?
About €20–25 to the city centre, a bit more at night, weekends and holidays, taking roughly 20 minutes. Taxis are metered and an airport supplement is included. Most accept cards. For one or two people the metro at about €5 is the cheaper choice.
Does the metro go to the beach?
Not directly. Take line 5 towards Marítim and change to the tram for Malvarrosa and Las Arenas beaches. The whole trip takes about 40–50 minutes. A taxi to the beach area costs about €25–30.
Is there a metro at night?
The metro runs from about 05:30 until around midnight, with some late services on weekends and during festivals. Check last departures if you land late. After that, a taxi is the practical option.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. Metro ticket machines accept bank cards and you can load a SUMA card for several trips. Taxis generally accept cards too. Airport buses usually take cash or contactless; have small change just in case.
