Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) to Malaga
The C1 Cercanías train reaches Málaga Centro-Alameda in about 12 minutes for around €2. The express airport bus (line A) is a good alternative, and taxis take about 15–20 minutes.
Best for most people: Train. It is fast, cheap and avoids traffic, stopping at María Zambrano main station and Centro-Alameda next to the old town.

- Allow a few minutes to walk from Arrivals to the train station.
- Summer evenings bring long taxi queues; the train is often quicker.
Common questions
How much is a taxi from Málaga airport to the city centre?
Expect around €20–30 to central Málaga, depending on time of day, with higher rates at night, weekends and public holidays. Fares are metered and include an airport supplement. Use the official taxi rank outside Arrivals. Most taxis accept card payment, but confirm before you set off.
Is there a train from Málaga airport at night?
The C1 train runs roughly from 06:45 until around 00:30. After the last train, the express bus may still run until about midnight; beyond that, taxis and ride-hailing are the only options. Check the latest Renfe timetable if your flight lands late.
How long does it take from the airport to the old town?
About 12 minutes by train to Centro-Alameda, then a 5–10 minute walk to the historic centre. The express bus takes about 15–25 minutes and a taxi about 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic. Overall you can be in the old town within 30–40 minutes of leaving Arrivals.
Can I get from Málaga airport directly to the beach resorts?
Yes. The C1 Cercanías line runs from the airport to Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola every 20 minutes. Intercity buses serve Marbella and other Costa del Sol towns. For smaller villages or late arrivals, a taxi or pre-booked transfer is the simplest choice.
