Best time to visit Playa del Carmen: month by month
Short answer
December to April is dry and sunny, with highs of about 26-29°C and the fewest rainy days (7-13 a month), but busiest at Christmas, Easter and US spring break in March. Sargassum can cover beaches from about April to August, and hurricane season runs June to November, peaking in September and October. May and November are good shoulder months with lower prices.
