Short answer
March to May and September to November are the best months, with highs of about 24–33°C in Marrakech and mild nights. July and August reach about 39–40°C inland, while winter is sunny by day (about 20–22°C) but cold at night, with snow on the Atlas passes.

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs of about 24–32°C in Marrakech and few rainy days; ideal for cities, the Atlas and the desert. The rose harvest is around Kelaat M'Gouna.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Very hot inland, about 34–40°C, with no rain; the coast at Essaouira and the north are cooler.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September is about 33°C, October 32°C and November 25°C; good for desert trips and hiking.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Sunny days of about 20–22°C and cold nights near 6–8°C in Marrakech, colder in the desert and mountains.

When to avoid
July and August are very hot inland and in the desert. Christmas, New Year and Easter weeks are the busiest and most expensive in Marrakech.
