Short answer
June and September are the sweet spot, with highs of about 26–27°C, warm sea and very few rainy days. July and August are the warmest (about 29°C) and bring the panigyria and the crowds, but the north coast can be very windy; winter is mild and wet, with about 11–12 rainy days in December and January.
