Short answer
May to October is the season for swimming and walking, with highs from about 25°C in May to 34°C in July and only 1–5 rainy days a month. June and September are the sweet spot: warm, sunny and calmer than July–August; Easter is a beautiful time for culture rather than swimming.

Highs rise from about 16°C in March to 25°C in May, with 5–7 rainy days; Easter brings the Epitaph procession into the sea at Kamini.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Hot and dry: highs of about 30–34°C and almost no rain. June has the Miaoulia festival; July–August is busiest.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
September (about 29°C) and October (about 24°C) are excellent for swimming; November cools to about 21°C with more rain.

When to avoid
