Best time to visit Hanoi: month by month
Short answer
October to December and March to April are the best times. Autumn is dry and pleasant (highs of 21-28°C, about 4-13 rainy days a month) and spring is mild (26-29°C). From May to September it is hot and humid (32-33°C) with 16-23 rainy days a month, and January-February is cool and grey (21-22°C highs), with Tet closures.

June to August is the hottest and wettest period, and the week around Tet sees many shops and restaurants closed and transport fully booked.
