Short answer
May, June, September and early October are best, with highs of about 22–27°C and warm sea. July and August are hottest (about 30–31°C) and busiest, with the Dubrovnik Summer Festival; from November to March many restaurants close but the walls are almost empty.

Mild, about 14–16°C in March–April and 22°C in May; quieter streets and good walking weather.

When to avoid
