Short answer
Mid-December to April is the best weather, dry and sunny with highs of about 25–28°C and only around 10 rainy days a month, but also the most expensive time. May and June are good value with warm sea; August to October is the peak of hurricane season.

Spring (Mar–May)
Highs of about 27–28°C with 10–18 rainy days a month as the wet season begins in May; March and April are excellent, May is warmer and cheaper.
Summer (Jun–Aug)
Hot and humid at about 29–31°C, with 15–20 rainy days a month (usually short showers). Hurricane season begins in June.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Still about 27–31°C; September and October are the riskiest hurricane months, November turns drier.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Pleasant highs of about 25–26°C and lows around 21–22°C, sea about 24°C. Peak season with the highest prices.

When to avoid
August to October carries the highest hurricane risk, with storms that can close airports and ferries for days. Spring break (March) brings crowds and higher prices to Nassau and Paradise Island.
