How long is the train?

About 3 h 30 to 4 h 30 depending on the train. PKP Intercity runs regular services from Warszawa Centralna to Wrocław Główny. Express services are faster but cost more. Book early on the PKP Intercity website or app for lower fares, especially on Fridays and Sundays.

Is flying faster?

The flight is about an hour, but with airport transfers and check-in, it is not much faster than the train. Wrocław airport is about 30 minutes by bus or taxi from the centre, and Warsaw Chopin about 20 to 30 minutes.

What is the cheapest way?

Buses are cheapest, from about PLN 40. Trains booked early are also good value. FlixBus and other operators run several buses a day. Trains are faster and more comfortable, and early fares can be close to bus prices. Book ahead in summer.

Can I drive?

Yes. The S8 expressway is toll-free and takes about 3 h 30 to 4 hours. Parking in Wrocław's centre is paid. The route passes near Łódź. Expect heavier traffic around Warsaw at rush hour and on Friday afternoons, so start early.
