How to get from Vancouver to Whistler
Whistler is about 120 km north of Vancouver on the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99), roughly 1 h 45 to 2 h by car. Several private coach companies run from downtown Vancouver and the airport, taking about 2 h 30.
Best option: Bus. Coaches are frequent, avoid mountain driving and parking costs, and stop in Whistler Village.

How long does it take from Vancouver to Whistler?
About an hour and three quarters to two hours by car on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, and about two to two and a half hours by coach from downtown Vancouver. From Vancouver airport, allow about three hours. Weather, traffic and roadworks can add time, especially in winter.
Is there a train from Vancouver to Whistler?
There is no regular scheduled passenger train. Coaches and driving are the usual options. Luxury rail tours have run on the route as part of longer packages, but they are not a practical everyday option. Check current offers if you are interested.
Do I need winter tyres to drive to Whistler?

Can I do Whistler as a day trip from Vancouver?
