How to get from Parga to Paxos
In summer, passenger boats and day cruises run from Parga to Paxos (Gaios or Lakka), about 1 hour to 1 h 30. Car ferries to Paxos leave from Igoumenitsa, about an hour's drive north of Parga.
Best option: Ferry. Summer boats from Parga are the quickest way to reach Paxos.

How long is the boat?
About 1 hour to 1 h 30 from Parga to Gaios or Lakka. Many boats are day cruises that also visit Antipaxos and sea caves. Boats usually leave in the morning from the harbour and return in the late afternoon, and schedules depend on the weather.
Can I take my car?
Not from Parga. Car ferries to Paxos leave from Igoumenitsa, about an hour's drive north. Book car space ahead in summer. The Igoumenitsa–Paxos ferry takes about 1 h 30 to 2 hours. Having a car on Paxos is useful if you stay several days.
Can I do it as a day trip?
Yes. Day cruises from Parga are very popular and usually include stops in Paxos and Antipaxos. You return in the evening. Bring swimwear, sun protection and some cash, as the boats usually stop for swimming and lunch breaks on the islands.
Do boats run all year?
No. Boats from Parga run mainly from May to October. In winter, use the Igoumenitsa ferries. Check current timetables. The car ferries from Igoumenitsa run all year with fewer sailings in winter. Parga is about an hour's drive from Igoumenitsa port.
