Tips

Common questions

Is there a direct train from Córdoba to Ronda?

Yes, but only a few a day. Renfe trains on the Madrid–Algeciras route stop at Córdoba and Ronda and take about two hours. At other times you can take a fast train to Antequera-Santa Ana and connect, which takes longer. Check current timetables before you plan.

Can I do Ronda as a day trip from Córdoba?

It is possible with an early train or car start, giving you five or six hours in Ronda. The limited number of direct trains is the main constraint, so check that a suitable return train exists. Driving gives you more flexibility and a chance to stop in Antequera.

What is the cheapest way from Córdoba to Ronda?

Driving, if two or more share the car, since there are no tolls. For a single traveller, an advance Renfe ticket is often the cheapest and fastest public option. Buses usually need a change and take longer, so they rarely save much.

Do I need to book ahead?

Yes, for the train. Direct services are few, and advance fares are cheaper, so book a few days ahead, more at weekends and during Easter Week. If you drive, book parking or choose a hotel with parking in Ronda during busy periods.
