How to get from Antalya to Rhodes
There is no regular ferry from Antalya and usually no direct flight. The common route is a bus or drive west along the coast to Fethiye (about 3 h 30–4 h) or Marmaris (about 5 h 30–6 h), then a seasonal ferry to Rhodes (about 1–2 h). Allow a full day, plus passport control.
Best option: Ferry. Overland to Fethiye or Marmaris and the short sea crossing is more direct than flying via Istanbul or Athens.

Tips
- Book the ferry ahead in summer and carry your passport.
- Check visa requirements for Greece (Schengen) if you are not an EU citizen.
- Fethiye ferries are seasonal; in winter Marmaris is the more reliable port.
- Rental cars from Turkey usually cannot be taken to Rhodes; return the car before the ferry.
Common questions
Is there a direct ferry from Antalya to Rhodes?
No regular one. Antalya has no scheduled passenger ferry to Rhodes. The usual crossings to Rhodes leave from Marmaris and, in season, from Fethiye, both several hours west of Antalya by road. Some years there have been other seasonal links, so check current timetables before planning.
Is there a direct flight?
Usually not. Most itineraries connect via Istanbul or Athens, which can take 4 to 8 hours including the change and cost more than the ferry route. In winter, when ferries from Fethiye stop and those from Marmaris are reduced, a connecting flight may be the more reliable option.
What documents do I need?
A passport valid for Greece, and a Schengen visa if your nationality requires one. You pass Turkish exit control at the Turkish port and Greek entry control in Rhodes. EU citizens may travel with a valid national identity card. Check the ferry company's document rules before booking.
What is the cheapest way?
Usually an intercity bus from Antalya to Marmaris or Fethiye followed by the passenger ferry. The bus costs a few hundred Turkish lira and the ferry roughly €40–80 one way. Booking the ferry early in summer helps, and travelling midweek can be slightly cheaper.
