How to get from Aegina to Nafplio
There is no direct ferry from Aegina to Nafplio. The usual way is a ferry to Piraeus and then a KTEL bus from Athens to Nafplio, about 4 h 30 to 5 h in total. With a car, a ferry to Methana on the Peloponnese side and a drive of about 1 h 30 is shorter.
Best option: Ferry. Every route starts with a ferry; with a car, the Aegina–Methana crossing avoids Athens traffic and is the quickest, while without one the ferry to Piraeus plus the KTEL bus is simplest.
