Where the money goes
Accommodation is the biggest cost: hotels and hostels near Wrocław Główny station cost about 200–350 zł for a double, the Old Town 350–600 zł and riverside hotels 600–1,100 zł. Food is cheap if you leave the Rynek: milk bars serve lunch for 20–30 zł, while mains on the square cost 50–80 zł. Sights are inexpensive, with most tickets between 10 and 50 zł; the zoo and Afrykarium are the biggest single ticket. Transport costs little, at about 4–5 zł a ride.
When it is cheaper
January to March and November are usually cheapest, apart from New Year. Prices rise in summer and during the Christmas market, from late November to December.
