Getting around cheaply

Regional trains run from Salzburg (via Attnang-Puchheim) and Bad Ischl to Hallstatt station, with a ferry across the lake; buses also run from Salzburg via Bad Ischl. Bus 543 links Hallstatt with Gosau. The guest card may include discounts on local buses.
