Common questions

How much is a taxi from Pearson to downtown Toronto?

Airport taxis and limos charge flat rates by zone, roughly C$60–75 to downtown plus a tip. The ride takes 30–60 minutes depending on traffic. Uber and Lyft are similar or slightly cheaper. For one or two people, UP Express is cheaper and usually faster.

Does the UP Express run at night?

UP Express runs from about 05:30 to about 01:00, every 15 minutes. Outside those hours, take a taxi or the TTC night bus network, which serves the airport. Check last departures if your flight lands late.

What is the cheapest way into the city?

The TTC 900 Airport Express bus to Kipling station and then Line 2 of the subway costs one TTC fare, about C$3–3.50, and takes roughly an hour to downtown. It is the budget option but less convenient with large bags.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. UP Express and the TTC accept contactless credit and debit cards and phones, as well as PRESTO cards. Taxis and limos at the airport accept cards too. Use the same card for each trip to keep fares simple.
