Short answer

May to September is the dry season, with only 5-12 rainy days a month in the data and highs of 16-18°C, giving the clearest views; June to August is the busiest. October to April is wetter, with 22-29 rainy days a month, greener terraces and fewer visitors. Mornings at the citadel are often misty, clearing by mid-morning.
