Split Airport (SPU) to Split

An airport shuttle bus, timed to flights, takes you to Split's main bus station by the ferry port in about 30–40 minutes. Taxis and Uber are faster to your door but cost several times more.

The airport is in Kaštela, between Split and Trogir.

Best for most people: Shuttle. The airport shuttle is cheap, carries luggage underneath and ends beside the ferry port and old town.

Tips

Common questions

How do I get from Split airport to the old town?

Take the airport shuttle bus to Split main bus station, about 30–40 minutes. The station is next to the ferry port and a short walk to Diocletian's Palace and the Riva. A taxi or Uber is quicker to your accommodation, but cars cannot enter the pedestrian old town.

How much is a taxi from Split airport?

Expect about €40–55 to central Split. Uber and Bolt are usually cheaper, often €25–40, but prices rise at busy times in summer. To Trogir the trip is much shorter and cheaper. Always confirm the fare or meter before you leave.

Does the airport shuttle meet late flights?

The shuttle is timed to the flight schedule, so it normally runs after late arrivals too. If your flight is badly delayed it may have left; in that case use a taxi or ride-hailing. Check the current timetable on the airport website before you travel.

Can I go straight from the airport to the ferry?

Yes. The airport shuttle ends at the bus station right beside Split ferry port, where Jadrolinija and catamaran operators depart for the islands. Allow at least an hour and a half between landing and your ferry to cover baggage, the bus and buying tickets.
