Your day-by-day plan

Day1
Seville

Arrival in Seville

Morning: Fly into Seville, check into your hotel in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood and freshen up after travel.

Afternoon: Stroll through the Barrio Santa Cruz alleyways and visit the stunning Real Alcázar palace gardens.

Evening: Enjoy tapas and a glass of Manzanilla at a traditional bar on Calle Mateos Gago.

💡 Book the Real Alcázar online in advance to skip long queues at the entrance.
Day2
Arcos de la Frontera

Gateway to the White Villages

Morning: Drive 90 minutes southwest to Arcos de la Frontera and check into a hilltop guesthouse with valley views.

Afternoon: Walk the old town's narrow cobbled streets and admire the panoramic mirador overlooking the Guadalete river.

Evening: Dine on slow-roasted lamb at a family-run restaurant in the historic centre.

💡 Park your car at the base of the old town — the upper streets are too narrow for most vehicles.
Day3
Jerez de la Frontera

Sherry Capital Detour

Morning: Drive 45 minutes to Jerez and join a guided tour of a historic sherry bodega such as González Byass.

Afternoon: Visit the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art for an impressive dressage display.

Evening: Return to Arcos and enjoy a sunset vermouth on your guesthouse terrace.

💡 The equestrian show sells out fast — book tickets at least a week ahead online.
Day4
Grazalema

Into the Sierra de Grazalema

Morning: Drive 40 minutes into the mountains to Grazalema, one of Spain's prettiest and rainiest villages.

Afternoon: Hike the Garganta Verde gorge trail through dramatic limestone cliffs (permit required in summer).

Evening: Try the local pork dishes and Payoyo cheese at a mountain tavern in the village square.

💡 Garganta Verde permits are limited daily — book through the Junta de Andalucía website well ahead.
Day5
Zahara de la Sierra

Fortress Village of Zahara

Morning: Drive 20 minutes to tiny Zahara de la Sierra and climb up to its Moorish castle for sweeping reservoir views.

Afternoon: Swim or kayak in the turquoise Zahara–El Gastor reservoir at the base of the village.

Evening: Check into a rural hotel and enjoy a relaxed dinner with locally produced olive oil and jamón.

💡 The castle climb is steep but short — wear proper footwear and go early to beat the midday heat.
Day6
Ronda

Ronda the Magnificent

Morning: Drive 45 minutes to Ronda and marvel at the Puente Nuevo bridge spanning the 100-metre El Tajo gorge.

Afternoon: Explore the old Moorish quarter La Ciudad, the Arab baths, and Ronda's historic bullring, one of Spain's oldest.

Evening: Watch the sunset from the Alameda del Tajo promenade as golden light floods the gorge below.

💡 Visit the bullring museum early morning before tour buses arrive for a far more peaceful experience.
Day7
Seville

Return to Seville & Farewell

Morning: Drive back to Seville and spend a final morning browsing the Triana market for local ceramics and olive oil.

Afternoon: Enjoy a long farewell lunch of salmorejo and grilled fish by the Guadalquivir riverbank.

Evening: Head to the airport for your evening flight home, memories of white walls and blue skies in tow.

💡 Allow at least 90 minutes to return your rental car and clear airport security at Seville airport.
