Your day-by-day plan

Day1
Naples

Arrive in Naples

Morning: Fly into Naples Capodichino, collect luggage and transfer to your hotel in the historic centre.

Afternoon: Fuel up with a classic Neapolitan pizza at Di Matteo on Via dei Tribunali and stroll the UNESCO-listed Spaccanapoli alley.

Evening: Enjoy an aperitivo at a rooftop bar with views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius.

💡 Book your Amalfi Coast ferry tickets online in advance to avoid long queues at the port.
Day2
Positano

Positano & the Coast Road

Morning: Take the early SITA bus from Naples to Positano and check into your cliffside accommodation.

Afternoon: Hire a small boat or join a group tour to explore hidden sea caves and snorkel in crystal-clear coves.

Evening: Dine on fresh grilled seafood at a terrace restaurant watching the sun melt into the Tyrrhenian Sea.

💡 Walk the quieter upper village streets at dawn before the day-trippers arrive for the best photos.
Day3
Amalfi

Ravello & Amalfi Town

Morning: Catch the ferry to Amalfi town and explore the stunning Arab-Norman Cathedral and its peaceful cloister.

Afternoon: Wind up by bus to hilltop Ravello and wander the breathtaking gardens of Villa Rufolo above the sea.

Evening: Return to Amalfi for limoncello tasting and a leisurely dinner in the piazza.

💡 Villa Rufolo hosts summer concerts with the sea as a backdrop — check the Ravello Festival schedule.
Day4
Capri

Capri Day Trip

Morning: Take a hydrofoil from Amalfi to Capri and ride the funicular up to the chic Piazzetta for coffee.

Afternoon: Join a boat tour around the island to visit the dazzling Blue Grotto and the Faraglioni rock arches.

Evening: Return to the mainland and enjoy a relaxed dinner before an early night ahead of your journey east.

💡 Visit the Blue Grotto before 10 am when light inside the cave is at its most vivid.
Day5
Bari

Travel Day to Bari

Morning: Drive or take a train from Naples to Bari — a scenic 4-hour journey through the Apennine mountains.

Afternoon: Drop bags at your hotel in Bari Vecchia and get immediately lost in the labyrinthine medieval old town.

Evening: Join a local nonna for a hands-on orecchiette pasta-making class followed by dinner with the family.

💡 The old town streets can be confusing — download an offline map before you wander.
Day6
Polignano a Mare

Bari & Polignano a Mare

Morning: Visit the Basilica di San Nicola in Bari, one of southern Italy's most important Romanesque churches.

Afternoon: Drive 30 minutes south to Polignano a Mare, a dramatic cliff-top village with turquoise sea far below.

Evening: Eat gelato from the famous Gelateria Creameria Polignano while watching the sunset over the Adriatic.

💡 The sea caves beneath Polignano can be explored by kayak — rentals are available on the main beach.
Day7
Alberobello

Trulli of Alberobello

Morning: Head inland to Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with hundreds of whitewashed trulli cone-roof houses.

Afternoon: Tour a trulli interior, then hike the Rione Monti district for the densest and most photogenic cluster of cones.

Evening: Stay overnight in a converted trullo guesthouse for a truly unique Puglian sleeping experience.

💡 The tourist crowds thin dramatically after 5 pm, giving you the cobbled streets almost entirely to yourself.
Day8
Lecce

Baroque Lecce

Morning: Drive two hours south to Lecce, known as the Florence of the South for its ornate golden-stone baroque architecture.

Afternoon: Visit the Basilica di Santa Croce, the Roman amphitheatre, and join a local papier-mâché craft workshop.

Evening: Eat at a masseria-style restaurant serving Puglian classics like fave e cicoria and roasted lamb.

💡 Lecce's centro storico is almost entirely pedestrianised — leave your hire car at the hotel and walk everywhere.
Day9
Otranto

Otranto & Salento Coast

Morning: Drive 40 minutes east to Otranto, a walled coastal town with a spectacular mosaic cathedral floor and a Moorish castle.

Afternoon: Explore the turquoise Baia dei Turchi beach and the rocky coves of the Salento peninsula on a scooter.

Evening: Return to Lecce for a final Puglian dinner with local Primitivo or Negroamaro wine.

💡 Rent a scooter in Otranto for half a day — it's the perfect way to hop between the hidden cove beaches.
Day10
Brindisi

Depart from Brindisi

Morning: Drive 40 minutes to Brindisi, stroll the harbour-front Corso Garibaldi and visit the Roman column marking the end of the Appian Way.

Afternoon: Transfer to Brindisi Airport for your return flight home, or connect via Rome.

Evening: Reflect on 10 unforgettable days over a final espresso at the airport.

💡 Brindisi Airport is small — arrive at least 90 minutes before departure to clear security comfortably.
